Short coursesThe Working Group "Short courses" (WG Crs), as part of Special Activity Group 2, "Dissemination of knowledge", organises short courses or seminars dealing with advanced knowledge related to structural concrete in general or on specific topics. The courses are held by experts from fib and can last a few days or up to one or two weeks. They are targeted to smaller, more local and more specialised audiences than symposia and congresses.Recent fib courses have been held successfully in India, Turkey and Mexico. Upcoming courses are listed in the conferences and events calendar. A detailed list of fib courses held, including the organisers, number of participants and documentation used can be downloaded as a PDF file. Workshopsfib Task Groups may hold workshops on specialized topics, either independently or in conjunction with other events. Task Group 4.3 has organized two such workshops in recent years: in March 2001 on Safety, Risk and Reliability, and in December 2004 on Fire Design of Concrete Structures.
