All-Russian Conference on concrete and reinforced concrete

The second International, third All-Russian Conference on concrete and reinforced concrete will take place in Moscow from 12 to 16 May 2014. The aim of the conference is to assist scientists, engineers and businessmen in further development of this branch of economy by the exchange of valuable scientific and commercial knowledge. A wide variety of themes related to concrete and reinforced concrete will be addressed. The conference will be accompanied by the specialized exhibition and a contest for the best achievement in concrete and reinforced concrete.

CIC2014: Registration open

Registration is now open for the Concrete Innovation Conference 2014 (CIC2014), taking place in Oslo, Norway on 11-13 June 2014. The conference themes will cover innovation in, but not limited to, the following areas: environmentally friendly concrete structures, efficient construction, structural design and structural performance, prolongation of service life. In addition, to underline the importance of innovation, a contest will be organized to highlight the best innovation.

fib Model Code 2010: hardcover edition discount for fib members

In October 2013, the hardcover and e-book editions of the fib Model Code for Concrete Structures 2010 (MC2010) were published by the Ernst & Sohn publishing house. This milestone publication presents new developments and ideas with regard to concrete structures, structural materials and will serve as a basis for future codes for concrete structures as well as an essential document for national and international code committees, practitioners and researchers.

Call for papers: 10th International Symposium on HPC

The 10th International Symposium on High Performance Concrete – Innovation & Utilization will be held in Beijing, China from 16 to 18 September 2014. The symposium will be a continuation of the successful previous symposia held every three years since 1987. It will bring together engineers, designers, researchers and scientists from around the world, to promote better understanding on common interests ranging from the latest research findings to the most challenging applications of high performance concrete for construction.

Call for papers: Second FRC International Workshop

The second FRC International Workshop (First ACI-fib Joint Workshop), "Fibre Reinforced Concrete: from design to structural applications" will take place at the Polytechnique Montreal, Canada, on 24-25 July 2014.

The aim of this workshop is to provide the State-of-the-Art on the recent worldwide developments that have been made in term of specifications and real applications of fibre reinforced concrete structures. Presentations of case studies will focus both on structural design and on the description of applications such as beams, elevated floors, tunnel linings, slabs, pavements, precast elements, bridges and other applications.
