The fib supports ICCX Central Europe, which will take place on 8-9 March 2023 in Warsaw, Poland.

Following the pandemic-related cancellation of ICCX Central Europe last year, another edition of the event took place on 14- 15 June 2022, once again providing the Central European concrete industry with a platform for networking and showcasing the latest industry trends and developments. For the third time in a row, the venue for the two-day conference with accompanying trade exhibition was the Conference Hotel Double Tree by Hilton Hotel & Conference in Warsaw. Held for the 8th time, ICCX Central Europe 2022 opened its doors to 650 participants, which enabled the event to build on old strengths and celebrate full recovery after the forced break.

The comprehensive international trade exhibition covered all areas of the precast concrete, concrete pipe, concrete product, and ready-mix concrete industries and therefore covered all areas of interest of the visitors. The exhibitors were very pleased about the lively interactions with the participants and the genuine interest in their products and services. It was evident that this form of personal exchange and networking had been greatly missed by every single attendee.

The always very well-attended technical sessions of the conference paid tribute to the fact that the organizers had responded very specifically to the interests of the Central European concrete industry when selecting the invited speakers and their presentation topics. Following a long-standing tradition, the opening presentation addressed the current situation in the construction industry in the Central European countries. The effects of the pandemic and the war in Ukraine were presented and their influences on the coming years were predicted. The overall focus of the first day of the conference was placed primarily on precast concrete technology, while the second day was dedicated to the topics of concrete technology and concrete products.

On the second day of the event, a seminar on conventional and permeable paving concluded the conference program of ICCX Central Europe 2022. The seminar was presented by Dipl.-Ing. Dietmar Ulonska, Managing Director of the renowned German Concrete Association Roads, Landscape, Garden e.V. (SLG).
