New fib Bulletin: Call for Input from TG SAG1.2
Are you passionate about sustainability in structural concrete?
The fib Special Activity Group on Sustainability, TG SAG1.2, is developing a new fib bulletin dedicated to best practices in sustainability for structural concrete applications. This will be a comprehensive resource, blending real-world applications with the latest research.
We're looking for contributions on topics like:
- Low-carbon Concrete Mixtures;
- Non-traditional Reinforcing Materials;
- High-Performance Concrete and Reinforcing Materials;
- Design Optimisation;
- Recycling and Reuse Practices;
- Sustainable LCM, including Maintenance, Service Life Extension, Renovation and Adaptation Practices;
- Sustainable Production, Construction and Deconstruction Technologies;
- CO2 Capture & Sequestration within Concrete (e.g. mineralization, biochar infusion, carbonation of recycled aggregates; large-scale carbon capture and (geological) storage are not considered);
- ... and more.
Your experience can be inspiring and your input is needed! We're seeking concise, 2-4 page case descriptions to showcase real-world examples of sustainable innovation. These contributions can describe applications in practice, as well as recent research advances. This is a great way to gain visibility for your work, connect with peers, and contribute to an essential industry resource. This is more than just a publication; it's a platform to connect with innovators, showcase your work, and help guide the industry toward a more sustainable future. Plus, each chapter will receive its own DOI, making your contribution easily citable.
Interested in contributing? Let us know your topic by September 30. You can find more details in the template.
