TG 1.7 “Construction of Concrete Structures” call for experts

During the last fib COM 1 Concrete Structures meeting, an update on TG 1.7 “Construction of Concrete Structures” activities was presented, including the draft Terms of Reference for a new document on “Circularity, from a construction perspective.” Following this, COM1 requested that “Demolition” be added to the scope of Circularity, recognising it as the bridging link between two life cycles, from large structural elements down to small components.
This was discussed at a recent TG 1.7 meeting, where it became clear that the group currently lacks in-depth knowledge of demolition. As TG 1.7 agrees that demolition should be included within the broader scope of circularity, the group is now seeking expertise from within fib to support this work, with a focus on construction-related aspects.
If you have relevant expertise and would like to get involved, please get in touch via the fib contact form, using the subject line “TG1.7 Demolition expertise”.
